Annette Funicello is an American performer and actress. She is best remembered as being one of Mickey Mouse Club's original Mouseketeers. In her teens, Annette began to sing and she became famous for the songs 'Tall Paul and Pineapple Princess'. Annette was born in Utica to Italian parents. As a child she was prone to anxiety. To make a name for herself within the entertainment industry her first step was to begin dancing and play. Being a "Mouseketeer" in 'Disney sketches, Annette gained a lot of popularity in the 1950s. Annette was able to shed her Disney image as her age increased and she began to take to adult characters. Most famous for her role as the actor who introduced the "beach-party" style of film. The actress was featured in movies such as How to Stuff a Wild Bikini, Pajama Party, and 'Beach Party.It was She also continued to release albums of her own music periodically.
